Australia lead the list with 558 wins in the format.It has taken India 45 years to achieve the feat after playing its first game in the format against England at Leeds on July 13, 1974 in the Prudential Trophy. The nation has featured in 963 ODIs till date.India’s first ODI win had come under captain Srinivas Venkataraghavan against East Africa in the inaugural Cricket World Cup at Leeds on June 11 in 1975. And Virat Kohli is the latest captain under whose leadership the team reached the major landmark.Kohli himself led from the front in the second ODI as he smashed his 40th ODI hundred to help India post 250.
