David De Gea has the ‘right profile’ for Real Madrid, claims Hunter

first_img1 Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has the “right profile” to play for Real Madrid, according to talkSPORT’s Spanish correspondent Graham Hunter. The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to the Bernabeu and has just 18 months remaining on his current deal at Old Trafford. However, despite the arrival of Victor Valdes at United, Hunter does not believe Real Madrid would be willing to sign the former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper due to the two “high-class goalkeepers” already at the club.“It would be David De Gea, he’s the right profile,” said Hunter. “His talent has never been in question.“It would be a devastating blow to the neighbours Atletico Madrid to bring back the keeper who was brought through as an Atletico fan prodigy.“But for the people who want credibility in transfer stories you have to put into the case that Madrid have two high class keepers at the moment. He added: “Do Real Madrid genuinely cause another fuss by bringing in De Gea and relegating [Iker] Casillas? I’m absolutely clear from briefings that Manchester United want to keep De Gea.” Manchester United David De Gea last_img read more
