This was the first year in NFL history both conference championship games went to OT. Former NFL punter and current broadcaster Pat McAfee, who is working with Buffalo Wild Wings during the promotion, is betting that it will happen.”I believe in putting things out into the universe,” he told Ominsport. “You put things out into the universe, you speak things into existence and I’m hoping that this happens, I’ve been speaking this into existence ever since I signed up with Buffalo Wild Wings and if this thing goes into overtime, I am a medium, all drums, crispy wings eater on a very regular basis, two or three times a week from Buffalo Wild Wings, and free wings for me on Sunday…wouldn’t only help my pocketbook, but it helps the morale of America, so I’m betting on it going to overtime.” Related News View this post on Instagram 🗣 FREE WINGS FOR AMERICA FROM @bwwings… if it goes to OT obvi.. McAfee would be willing to see the format changed.”You would hope that the MVP — probable MVP — is going to get a chance to touch the rock, but in the NFC game, I mean, there was the standard, ball, turnover…make it happen, other team wins, so…I know there’s been a lot of conversation about the overtime and everything like that…there’s a lot of crazy concepts that we could come up with but at the end of the day, anything that gets chosen is going to be debated upon,” he said. “I wish Patrick Mahomes would have gotten the chance to touch the ball there, but I also wish that maybe the Chiefs could have got a turnover there.”last_img read more
