DRIVERS WARNED AFTER TYRE PRANK ALMOST CAUSES SERIOUS ROAD ACCIDENT

first_imgTwo young women had a lucky escape after an apparent prank caused a crash in Ballybofey. Two large tyres were left in the middle of the road. The two women were returning from work at around 11.30pm when two large tyres were placed in the middle of the road. The women crashed into the tyres but luckily neither were seriously injured. The incident happened at a sharp bend at the top of McFeeley’s Brae in the townland of Navnney.Driving conditions were dark and there was no time for the driver to break.Although no harm was caused to the occupants of the vehicle it appears the tyres were left there with the intention of causing damage or injury. The Gardai were made aware of the incident and had to come to remove the obstruction as the tyres were too heavy for the women to remove. One of the women, who asked not to be named, appealed to drivers to be vigilant in case of copycat incidents around the county. DRIVERS WARNED AFTER TYRE PRANK ALMOST CAUSES SERIOUS ROAD ACCIDENT was last modified: February 14th, 2015 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:BallybofeycrashGardaiPrankTYRESlast_img read more
