BINGHAMTON (WBNG) — The Broome County Health Department released two public health statements after learning two people tested positive for COVID-19 at two locations in Binghamton. If you were at there on Sept. 19 from 2 to 3:30 p.m., the department asks you to self quarantine until Oct. 4center_img Additionally, the health department says a person who was at the Ancient Order of Hibernians on Main Street tested positvie for the virus. If you were at the location from Sept. 18 or 19 from 6 to 8 p.m., to self quarantine until Oct. 3 or 4 respectfully.last_img

On the Wellington City Council side, incumbent Terry Nunemaker filed for the new at-large six-member city council. Larry Mangan has filed for District 2 Position 5 of the Wellington School board, a position currently occupied by Dixie Blankinship.Remember, the filing deadline is Jan. 22 at noon for both city council and school boards across Sumner County less than a week away! The election will be held April 2. City candidates file with their city clerks. USD school candidates must file with the election clerk at the Sumner County Clerk’s office at the courthouse in Wellington.Of note: Nunemaker, who currently serves the soon-to-be-defunct Ward 4, filed to be an at large candidate for the Wellington City Council.
