first_img 2 Kevin De Bruyne trained ahead of Manchester City’s Champions League group game against Hoffenheim.The 27-year-old has not played for the club since a 2-0 win against Arsenal on 12 August and the Belgian had been expected to miss three months of the season.Shortly after news of the playmaker suffering a lateral collateral ligament (LCL) lesion in his right knee, manager Pep Guardiola said De Bruyne would be a ‘big miss’.But ahead of the 2-0 win against Brighton, he said: “[De Bruyne] is making the last steps. He’ll start taking a small part in training in the next days I think. Everything is going well.”And on Monday morning, he was pictured training with the first team and tweeted: “Back in training!” De Bruyne, at the back, trained with the Man City first team, having not played since 12 August.
