Poco F1 to stay on sale in India along with Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro, for now there is no Poco F2

Xiaomi India is expected to announce the launch date of the Redmi K20 series in the next few days or so. As the Redmi K20 series launch date is coming closer, it is worrying the Poco fans out there. The most anticipated question that is going in the minds of Poco fans is — what will happen to the Poco F2?Will the Poco F2 launch in India? And even if launches how will it co-exist with the Redmi K20 Pro? These question still don’t have answers but a new report coming from 91Mobiles suggest that the Poco will not be discontinued in India. The brand will be there and it will launch phones in the future.The new report reveals it will not. The report suggests that the Poco brand will not be discontinued and will continue to bring new phones in the future. The next phone from Poco is expected to be the Poco F2. At least that is what the rumours and leaks suggest.The report notes, “A trusted source who wishes to remain anonymous told 91mobiles that Xiaomi has not discontinued the POCO series in India.” The report further reveals that the Poco brand is “currently evaluating how the purported POCO F2 will co-exist with the Redmi K20 Pro”. This is because the Redmi K20 Pro comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and like the Poco F1 the next Poco phone is also expected to also sport the latest flagship processor aka SD855. The Poco F1 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.advertisement” The company is currently evaluating how the purported POCO F2 will co-exist with the Redmi K20 Pro; the latter is powered by Snapdragon 855 SoC and the former will likely run on the same chipset too, considering its predecessor offered the then-flagship Snapdragon 845 in a mid-range package. If that’s the case, we could expect that the company will ensure some distinction between the two, otherwise they would end up cannibalising each other’s sales or create confusion among the prospective buyers,” the report notes.We can expect Poco to launch its next smartphone later this year and it is most likely going to be the Poco F2.
