As the game ticked deep into injury-time, it looked like the title was heading back to O’Donnell Park, with St Eunan’s ahead by one.However, there was to be one final twist in the tale with McGill scoring a late goal which resulted in heartbreak for St Eunan’s and euphoria for Naomh Conaill. The talk going in to this match was going to be the battle between St Eunan’s Niall O’Donnell and Naomh Conaill’s Eoghan McGettigan.Both helped Donegal win the Ulster MFC title earlier this summer, and are without doubt two of the hottest prospects in the county.Neither disappointed with O’Donnell scoring eight of St Eunan’s eleven scores, while McGettigan notched five points, with four coming from play.There was nothing between the sides all throughout this brilliant contest, with the sides level on no fewer than seven occasions.
